Guadalmina (Marbella West) is a beautiful, peaceful, green and centrally located neighborhood just West of Puerto Banus – walking distance via the seafront. On one side of the coastal road (A7), on the beach-side, is Guadalmina Baja (“down”), which is the most exclusive.
On the other side, Guadalmina Alta (“up”), which is the mountain-side. The area is commonly known as Guadalmina and lies in continuation of San Pedro de Alcantara, which is a popular holiday area, yet a very Spanish village, 5 min. from Puerto Banus by car and 10 min. from Marbella.
It is very easy to walk or cycle to restaurants and supermarkets, which is rare in the region where car is most often required to move around. There are many all-year residents, incl. Spanish in particular, settled in Guadalmina, known for the traditional and excellent golf club, Real Club de Golf Guadalmina, as well as for their famous beachfront hotel, Hotel Guadalmina Spa & Golf Resort – one of the oldest hotels in the area where you can have brunch buffet right next to the water.
Just a few kilometers of Guadalmina you find the Roman baths (Las Bovedas) and a medieval watch tower.
